Hair Transplant

What is a Hair Transplant?

Hair transplant implants head or body hair in patients with severe, irreversible hair loss. Generally, the follicles (hair roots) are removed from the back of the head, but the beard, chest, calf, or other hair can also be considered, depending on the condition. These are then transplanted into bald or thinning areas.

A hair transplant is a permanent solution to hair loss concerns. At Voilà Clinic, we offer Direct Hair Transplantation (DHI), and Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant methods.

DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is a hair transplant method in which the hair follicles are taken individually from the donor area with an implanter pen, usually called the Choi pen, and transplanted to the recipient area. The Choi method is recommended for patients looking for a protective hair transplant solution in the early stages of hair loss.
Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant is a minimally invasive transplantation method that aims to give the most natural results with more hair densely transplanted using single hair and multi-grafts. For hair grafts to be implanted, V-shaped micro-channels are created with special surgical sapphire blades. This is a highly sensitive method that requires surgical skill and experience, hence why choosing the right surgeon is essential for achieving the best and undetectable results that will satisfy your needs and shorten the healing time significantly.

Suitability

You are an ideal candidate for a hair transplant if you:

Have pattern baldness
Have thinning hair
Have lost hair in great amounts
Have enough donor hair sites for the transplant
Want to look more approachable and presentable
Wish to improve your confidence
Are healthy and at your ideal weight
Have done your research on the procedure and the possible risks

Recovery

After the in-office procedure, you may feel that your scalp is sensitive and tender to the touch. You may go back to work 2 to 5 days after the transplant. The treated area will be covered with bandages for the first one or two days. During the second and third week, you may start noticing that the transplanted hair is falling out and new, healthy hair is growing. Around the three-month mark, new hair starts to grow fully, and around 6 months, it starts to take a natural appearance and will continue to grow at the same pace as your regular hair. And voilà! You now have perfect and natural locks.

Aftercare

As the Voila health care team, we will ensure that you have gone through all the necessary health checkups before your surgery, and always be there for you during recovery to ensure you feel your best the whole time.

Aftercare is as important as the surgery itself when it comes to boosting the effects of the procedure.

Quitting smoking and drinking during the healing process are recommended, as smoking and alcohol intake might slow down the healing and potentially affect the surgery results.

If necessary, your doctor may prescribe you painkillers.

Patience is key. A better you is on the way!
