Recovery
You only need 3 to 4 days of rest after dental implant surgery. You might experience some numbness, sensitivity, and swelling, which is normal and will subside after a couple of days. Healing is generally painless with little discomfort. If you follow a good dental hygiene regime, the implants will last you a lifetime.

When it comes to enhancing the effects of the procedure, aftercare is just as important as the surgery itself.
During the few days after oral surgery, you should consume soft foods and stay away from hot liquids, spicy foods. You can return to your normal diet after 3-4 days, but you should be careful to support the healing of the implant area.
Since smoking and alcohol intake can slow down recovery, it is recommended to quit smoking and not drink during the recovery process.
If necessary, your doctor may prescribe you painkillers.
